♥ SIN-AMS
Living in the Amsterdam mean living by the sea. Beside being a small inland harbor, i have no real knowledge of the country. Is the peoples i mix with that feed me with the country beautiful past and present n the rest is up to me to find out. Is only after minimal knowledge that keep me intrigued to know more.
N we took the 20 Euro tour bus. Bypass Maritime Museum (A living Museum), a house when uncompromising warrior used to reside. And great church, n i thought i heard the name “Solomon” n gt totally interested. But after that nothing was mention that trigger my interest... n before i know we have reach the diamond factory n my knowledge just increase to like a tingle bit... how to weigh the cost, caret, Quality of good costly diamond. N to make a good diamond, b prepared to waste 60% of the resource... It take 1 day to make a fairly normal diamond but it take 1 solid week to make a excellent diamond that can cost U a 36K Euro for 1 good caret or a mere 360Euro for a 0.16 caret...
We took the 5Euro cruise to explore the wide horizon. Waited for 20 mins under 1 umbrella share by 5 peoples. Did i mention is winter in AMS... Is not snowing but in raining... Was literally shaking and very numb... Everything around me that range from boat house to modern building is a unique and wondrous city. Beyond those long curtain less window, the house is a royal splendor. A tangible evidence of the history and the present all integrated into 1. They take load of pride in their canal and port activity. They have the hydraulic engineering projects which help prevent flood during high tide n it open the “gate” 5 times per wk to cleanse the sea water. AMS is the Fifth Largest Port Of Europe, n that in today still belong to the top 20. It used to be 1 of the largest. This explain why New York was originally name the New Amsterdam.
And i almost miss all this if they'll have not waited for me. We agreed to meet at 12.30 after sleeping for 4Hours when we touch down. But i was so sleepy n allow myself to doze off again. N only start preparing when they'll call... Hastily pack the essential N rush down N half way down the walking street, i realized i am not armed with my camera... T.T
Nxt day we went to the Red Light District the outpost of open mind and open sex. Not merely tolerated, but encouraged. Is like recreation. But soon the new government is going to put a full stop to all this so one of the leading bring us there for some 'sightseeing'... nt a big deal to me after all... N we went to china town... n head to book store, my MUST go =D I still have so much not cover... the windmill... the museum... cheeseland... clonk factory... Suez canal... Panama Canal... how all the hydraulic work...
Hold Amsterdam dear, most glories of your cities, and pillar of the state -Vondel
N did i mention i got my check again for my Amsterdam flight... My 9 check already, my batchmates is in their 6-7 check... n i always get the same freaking feedback to build good rapport with my passengers... in fact is something i always want to be good at... But to me it doesn't flow naturally most of the time... Is more of a chores... n i hate to do things for the sake of doing... N i know why i start to hate my work because how can one not get piss off when every flight u go, people telling U they'll cannot feel the effort from U trying to talk to passengers... in fact not making any effort to make small talk with them at all... n i feel that with all the grooming is like putting on a thick mask to work... is so not ME... N after being said AGAIN before being release to rest n do some reflection ... i just stay awake n pray n tell him to teach me or maybe just impart that skill to me... A good PR skill...

For the first time I got my answer right at spot... n from the bottom of my heart, i want to TRY just for U...
Very rewarding WEEK!! n Strait Times ever advertise Nick Vujicic... Is hard not to fall in LOVE with him =D i just can't get enough of him... is like how can one ever miss this... N if i ever compare, missing flight isn't such a big deal at ALL...
